Overview

If you have administrative experience in Higher Education or a medium to large organisation, this position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role supporting the governance office of a world leading university.

Responsibilities

  • Organise meetings, draft and reply to correspondence, assist in running governor elections, undertake routine checks on prospective governors, draft and issue letters, file, book training sessions, and provide occasional support for financial tasks (such as processing expenses and invoices).
  • Clerk governor and committee meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes and acting as the main point of contact for committee members between meetings.
  • Provide support at governor events as and when required.

About you

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of people, including governors and senior university leaders.
  • Ability to prepare agendas and other committee documents within a set style and protocol and produce clear and accurate minutes.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise your own work to achieve objectives on time and provide a positive and responsive service for governors and colleagues across the university.
