Corporate Tax Senior Manager – Real Estate

Key clients: Real Estate and Private Equity funds, REITs, Sovereign Wealth funds and Family Offices of High Net Worth individuals.

Work: The team provides a wide range of tax compliance support to ensure clients meet their UK tax obligations efficiently and on time. You will develop strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor, and build an understanding of how different types of real‑estate businesses and structures operate.

Essential Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm for acquiring knowledge of UK taxation.
  • Capacity to take responsibility for and manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring deliverables are submitted on time.
  • Team‑work drive and willingness to invest in colleague development.
  • Ability to build robust relationships with clients and internal teams, applying practical and commercial concepts to technical work.
  • Rapidly learn new tax concepts and apply them within time constraints.
  • Strong communication and written skills.
  • Desire to advance a career in Real Estate Tax Compliance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist real‑estate investors in complying with their UK direct tax obligations.
  • Advise clients on the impact of recent legislative changes (e.g., REIT relaxation rules).
  • Respond to HMRC tax enquiries.
  • Drive transformation of the annual tax process through process improvement, technology, risk, and organisational design.
  • Plan and manage the implementation of identified technology solutions.
  • Work effectively individually and with colleagues to deliver solutions and develop the team.
  • Manage client accounts and ensure effective delivery.

Professional Experience

  • Knowledge of typical structured and alternative fund structures and their general taxation.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and projects simultaneously, including leading junior staff.
  • Team‑work drive and investment in junior team members’ development.
  • Capacity to work closely with clients, applying practical and commercial concepts to technical work.
  • Coordination of input from international and cross‑service line teams.
  • Rapid learning of new tax concepts and application within time constraints.
  • Strong communication and written skills.
  • Desire to advance a career in financial services.
  • Openness to challenge and stretch.

Desirable Qualifications

  • ACA/CTA qualification.
