Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy Development: utilise expertise in the UK heating market or product management techniques to develop market-leading product specifications tailored to the UK market and customer needs.
  • Conduct market and customer research, including technical and commercial competitor analysis, to identify trends, gaps and USPs.
  • Initiate and execute User Experience (UX) activity to validate product concepts, features and benefits.
  • Understand relevant regulations and standards for responsible product groups and factor them into product specifications.
  • Product Development & Launch: represent the Product Management function within product development projects.
  • Develop requirements and insights to ensure the right product is delivered at the right quality and price for the target market.
  • Ensure features, benefits, USPs and advantages are communicated throughout the organisation and to key customer groups.
  • Assist in coordination of new product introductions with all relevant departments.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: coordinate relevant functions to define and execute ongoing overarching product strategy across Product, Price, Place & Promotion for the category.
  • Continuously review portfolio performance to ensure relevance, considering price development, market trends, legislative drivers, customer needs and competitors’ activities.
  • Make relevant changes to the product range, including phasing out products deemed no longer relevant or competitive.
  • Portfolio Management: contribute to the definition of a market-leading portfolio strategy with senior stakeholders and ensure alignment across Sales Region and Product Areas.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure common goals are aligned and the portfolio fits cohesively.
  • Conduct price analysis and position products, defining price/revenue scenarios based on business goals and segmentation strategies.
  • Define an overarching segment strategy (Product, Service, Price, Place & Promotion) and develop value propositions and segmentation tools to secure competitive advantage within the market segment.
  • Own segment delivery roadmaps and communicate objectives to relevant functions, removing obstacles to execution.
  • Coordinate progress of segment deliverables to key stakeholders including HC/SGB Management and HC business units.

Qualifications

  • Education requirements: Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Product, Business Management, Marketing, Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Experience within UK HVAC industry preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in Product Management, Business Development or Marketing functions.

Skills & Attributes
