The role
Reporting into the COO, you’ll be responsible for maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic decision‑making, and ensuring robust compliance while keeping processes lean and scalable.
This is a hands‑on role combining day‑to‑day financial control with forward‑looking insight.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full finance function, from transactional processing to strategic reporting
- Maintain and evolve financial models for forecasting and scenario planning
- Produce monthly management accounts and board‑ready reporting
- Lead annual budgeting and in‑year reforecasting
- Manage cash flow, grant income, and restricted vs unrestricted funding
- Oversee payroll, VAT returns, and statutory compliance
- Lead the annual audit and preparation of statutory accounts
- Strengthen financial controls, approval workflows, and expense policies
- Identify and deliver process automation and efficiency improvements

About you
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
