Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer – Bristol
We have a brand-new opportunity for a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team based in our Bristol office. It’s an exciting time to join our Bristol team, where we have a well-established reputation for delivering outstanding design on built environment projects across Bristol and the Southwest. As a Senior or Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs for a range of project types and sizes within a multidisciplinary team, and for developing a team of technically competent, collaborative members.
Key Responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day technical delivery of the electrical design services for multi‑disciplinary projects across several building sectors.
- Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
- Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, attending project meetings and translating the brief within the project team.
- Help monitor fee expenditure, resources, and work delivered in conjunction with the team leader.
- Mentor and support next‑gen professionals, including apprentices and graduates.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer or in a closely related role, with a track record delivering on a variety of complex projects.
- Experience of modern technical delivery processes and use of relevant software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux.
- Demonstrable experience working with clients, contractors, and architects in a design‑oriented or consultant role.
- Self‑awareness, an open mind, and a spirit of generosity.
- Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence.
