The London Spinal Cord Injury Centre is looking for a dynamic person who is interested in promoting reintegration for newly injured patients. Applicants will need extensive experience working in the field of rehabilitation.
The role involves working with patients on the ward, in therapies and in a community setting. The post holder must be flexible in working hours to ensure patients are offered reintegration activities that accommodate their individual needs.
Responsibilities include participating in the care, rehabilitation, reintegration and discharge of patients with spinal cord injury and those with associated complex needs, in conjunction with other members of the Multi‑Disciplinary team. The post holder promotes and encourages social reintegration through sports, leisure and activities of daily living; ensures continuity of appropriate care for patients who are being discharged through close liaison and handover of care needs to patients, families and relevant community professionals; and delivers appropriate education and discharge preparation for patients, their relatives and community professionals.
At RNOH, we’re committed to being actively anti‑discriminatory and actively inclusive.
