Role Summary
Provide progressive estates maintenance management to all properties within the Facilities Directorate for NHS Lothian, ensuring direct‑employed labour, measured‑term and specialist contractors are utilised effectively and efficiently within financial limits and comply with statutory and service requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate estates maintenance across NHS Lothian properties.
- Oversee the utilisation of Directly Employed Labour Organisation and contractor resources to meet service and financial targets.
- Ensure all activities comply with statutory regulations and internal service standards.
Qualifications
- Must hold a PVG Scheme membership/record; if not current, must complete an application to Disclosure Scotland and achieve satisfactory clearance.
- Appointees must possess a suitable criminal record check in line with PVG Scheme requirements; changes effective 1 April 2025 may affect check level.
- Must have valid permission to work in the United Kingdom, in accordance with UK Visa and Immigration Service requirements.
