TGR Haas F1 Team has been a stalwart of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. We are an ambitious challenger within Formula 1 with multiple global locations and a passion for excellence. This role is based in Banbury, UK, and offers exposure to many areas of the business while supporting the delivery of departmental and organizational objectives.
Role focus: support day-to-day operations within the electronics area, collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service, compliance, and performance, and uphold organisational policies with a commitment to continuous improvement and inclusive ways of working.
Role and Location
Reports to the Head of Electronics or their designee and is based in Banbury, UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive the design of on- and off-car harnesses, units, sensors, and other assemblies to meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the design of FIA, FOM and supplier component installations in accordance with requirements and regulations, collaborating with the mechanical design office and technical partners.
- Drive the specification and design of electronics systems to support on- and off-car instrumentation and measurements.
- Generate and support installation manuals and documentation for trackside installation of harnesses, units, sensors, and components.
- Investigate faults and generate fault reports in collaboration with Reliability, electronics, and trackside teams.
- Develop mitigation solutions for fault resolutions of electronics, sensors, and electrical components both on and off the car.
- Monitor and improve on- and off-car installations, design standards, and operational processes.
- Support pre-season car build, test, and rig events as required to oversee electronic system installation in the chassis and garage environment.
- Engage in vehicle performance, development and reliability projects, providing direction to the Mechanical Design Office for electrical and electronics solutions.
- Carry out day-to-day tasks efficiently within agreed timescales and ensure work meets service, quality, and compliance standards.
- Demonstrate accountability and professionalism in all activities.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders; participate in meetings and forums; respond to queries and escalate complex matters as needed.
- Adhere to relevant legislation, organisational policies, and internal controls; handle confidential or sensitive data; support audit, governance, and risk management activities as required.

Person Specification / Qualifications
- University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- Multi-year experience in state-of-the-art electronics engineering in a high-level technology development environment; motorsport experience (e.g., Formula 1, WEC) preferred.
- Experience in production of small batch/prototype analogue and digital circuits; strong understanding of sensor technologies and required support electronics.
- Proven track record of fault investigation, containment, and rectification.
- Resilience and composure in high-pressure, fast-paced environments; able to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Integrity and discretion in handling confidential information; uphold high professional and ethical standards.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and willingness to mentor others.
- Adaptable with willingness to travel and work irregular hours, including weekends and race days.
- Equipment and applications: Solid computer knowledge, CAD (e.g., Catia/3DX), PCB design (e.g., Altium); knowledge of embedded programming (C) and higher-level languages (C#/VBA) advantageous; ability to follow complex material shipment and facility maintenance regulations.
