Position

Clinical Development Lead, Cardiovascular and metabolic diseases (CVMD) – Diagnostics

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical development strategy for large-scale studies and complex programs in the CVMD area, defining clinical utility, intended use, and claim extensions across our portfolio.
• Work closely with Global Regulatory Affairs to complete and submit global regulatory filings, author critical sections of meeting packages and review clinical documents for international regulatory submissions.
• Act as the medical lead in external interactions with health authorities, build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), and drive development partnerships across industry and academia.
• Oversee communication strategies for clinical studies, representing the organization at major medical congresses, advisory boards, and in key publications.
• Drive innovation and competitive differentiation, develop intellectual property strategies, and optimize clinical processes.
• Coaching and mentoring of team members, nurturing confidence and supporting professional development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree (MD) or advanced degree (PhD) in cardiology, metabolic diseases, obesity or related fields.
• Established experience in academia, diagnostics, or the pharmaceutical industry within the CVMD area.
• Proven track record in In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) or Medical Device study management across all stages of global clinical trials, including protocol design and report writing.
• Demonstrated experience leading large, complex development programs and guiding cross‑functional, matrixed teams.
• Deep understanding of global standards and regulations (e.g., ICH‑GCP, IVDD/IVDR, MDR, FDA, NMPA).
• Ability to partner effectively across diverse regions, cultures, and time zones.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time depending on project phases.
