Role overview
This position involves advising on a varied mix of shipping claims work, including both P&I and FD&D matters, with exposure to commodities-related issues such as laytime, demurrage and bill of lading disputes. The work offers strong variety and involvement in complex matters.
Team structure
The role sits within a specialist claims team of seven, including senior leadership, experienced fee-earners and junior support professionals.
Key responsibilities
This role is supporting the Claims Director. The successful candidate will mentor and support junior team members and act as the deputy to the team lead. There is clear scope for progression into a managerial position in the future or joining as a Claims Manager if you have previous leadership experience.
Client base and coverage
The team advises shipowners and charterers with a broad range of vessel types, offering excellent sector exposure.
