Job Summary
Croft Hall Surgery is going through changes that will drive the service and patient experience as well as delivering new efficient and effective procedures. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic GP to join the Croft Hall Team as a Salaried GP for ideally 6-8 sessions per week but willing to be flexible for the right person. As a partner you would have the opportunity to put your own stamp on the practice and develop.
Main Duties
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. As a member of the team and one of the employees you will be expected to set an example to others, assist in education and training and to play a full role in target achievement and service development.

Croft Hall Medical Practice is a fast paced, forward thinking practice with a list size of 8,200. Our team consists of General Practitioners, experienced ANPs and the ever growing support of our PCN staff, including a Wellbeing Team, PCN Pharmacists and Physician Associates. We are rated Good by CQC.
Job Responsibilities
- Practice as an independent prescriber working within scope of practice
- Carry out face-to-face and telephone consultations with patients with minor illnesses
- Provide medication review services with patients in the practice and, when required during domiciliary visits to local residential and care homes
- Provide advice and support for patients with self-limiting conditions
- Review medications for newly registered patients
- Provide subject matter expertise on medication monitoring, implementing and embedding a system
- Carry out targeted medication reviews for high-risk patients
- Reauthorise medication for repeat prescribing within scope of practice
- Identify patients suitable for repeat prescribing, liaising with the relevant clinicians as required
- Review and implement safe prescribing systems for vulnerable patients, improving compliance
- Support clinicians with the management of patients suffering from drug and alcohol dependencies
- Actively signpost patients to the correct healthcare professional
- Assist with QOF targets
- Administer influenza and travel vaccines
- Act as the practice point of contact for all medicines related matters, establishing positive working relationships

- Experience of working within a deprivation area
- EMIS Web experience
- Docman experience
Essential Qualifications
- Qualified GP
- GMC full registration
- Membership of recognised defence union (MPS/MDU)
- MRCGP
- Currently on a performers list
- Never been removed from a performers list for a detrimental reason
Desirable Qualifications
- DRCOG
- DFP
- DCH
Salary and Working Pattern
Salary depends on experience. Permanent contract, part‑time working pattern, ideally 6‑8 sessions per week.
