Sterile Services Process Technician (Nights)

Sterile Services Process Technician – Decontamination (Permanent Nights) – Stoke Hospital Sterile Services Unit (ST5-7UF). Permanent, full-time. Up to £25,800.00 per annum. 37.5 hours a week, Nights + 30% enhancement, Monday to Friday 20:00pm – 04:00am.

Main duties of the job

• Disassemble, prepare and sterilise medical instruments ready for Theatre Surgery.
• Inspect and maintain instruments to a high standard.
• Ensure all equipment is in good working order.
• Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults.
• Work with a friendly team.
• Take on training as required.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
• Take action to resolve any problems and or escalate issues where necessary.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with policies and procedures.
• Handle manual handling duties up to 13 kg.
• Have strong attention to detail and desire to deliver high quality service.

Qualifications

• Evidence of sterile services training preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided.
• Computer literate.

Experience and skills

• Organised with good communication skills.
• Experience in sterile services environment a plus.
