Job Opportunity: Structural Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our client’s expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in structural steelwork design and project management.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage structural steelwork projects, ensuring compliance with relevant design codes and software.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to coordinate project information and resolve queries.
• Maintain adherence to design budgets and company QA procedures.
• Attend project meetings and report directly to the Head of Design.
• Support the training and development of graduate design engineers.
• Foster strong relationships with clients to achieve excellent feedback and satisfaction.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes and principles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in structural steelwork design.
• Degree in a relevant field, ideally working towards incorporated or chartered status.
• Proficient in structural steelwork member design, connection design, and familiar with Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Portal Designer, and Master series design software.
• Experience in designing temporary works is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
