Overview

Senior Consultant – Private Equity & Finance Leadership | FP&A Manager

Location: London

Salary: Up to 110,000

We are partnering with a fast-growing, entrepreneurial financial services organisation that is redefining how its sector delivers value to clients. The business is backed by an ambitious leadership team and is seeking a talented FP&A Manager to join at a pivotal stage in its growth. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a standalone FP&A role with ownership of the financial planning and analysis function, shaping processes from the ground up and working with senior stakeholders to drive commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes in line with growth objectives.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Deliver clear, insightful analysis of business performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with senior leaders to provide high-quality financial insights and recommendations.
  • Track and analyse core financial metrics to ensure performance is optimised against targets.
  • Support and challenge business initiatives with a focus on commercial impact and value creation.
  • Enhance and streamline FP&A processes, tools, and systems to scale with growth.

The ideal candidate

  • A qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with a proven background in PE-backed environments; experience in financial services (broking, insurance, asset management, or related sectors) is preferred.
  • Demonstrable FP&A, commercial finance, or management accounting experience within FS, with a track record in fast-paced, investor-driven environments.
  • Advanced financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting skills in high-growth settings.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for investors and senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence C-suite executives, PE investors, and operational leaders.
  • Proactive self-starter who can build robust finance processes in a standalone role within a rapidly evolving organisation.
