Back End Developer

Location London – 4 days per week in office

Salary up to £200,000 + equity

The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will help design and scale the infrastructure powering an enterprise AI platform. You’ll build high-performance backend services, develop data pipelines that process large financial datasets, and work closely with ML engineers to deploy AI models into production.

Requirements

• 7+ years backend engineering experience with Python (FastAPI, Flask or Django)
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge (query optimisation, database scaling)
• Experience with Redis and asynchronous task systems (Celery or similar)
• Experience building scalable APIs and distributed systems

Nice to Have

• Experience deploying ML models into production
• Experience in financial services or other regulated environments
• Security experience (authentication, authorization, data protection)
