Are you an 2-5 PQE Family Solicitor or FCILEX with practising rights looking to join a highly regarded and busy family law team? This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a Tier One Legal 500-ranked department, handling a varied caseload while working alongside experienced specialists in the field.
You’ll be joining a supportive team with the opportunity to manage your own caseload of both privately funded and publicly funded matters, while also gaining exposure to complex and rewarding work, including international work.
What you’ll be doing
- Running a caseload of private law children and domestic abuse matters
- Managing both legal aid and privately funded cases
- Attending court hearings and undertaking your own advocacy
- Meeting with clients and providing practical legal advice
- Drafting legal documents, witness statements, and briefs to counsel
- Maintaining files in line with Legal Aid Audit standards
- Effectively using the firm’s case management system
- Communicating with clients, expert witnesses, counsel, and other solicitors
- Supporting business development activities
- Contributing towards departmental financial targets
- Assisting with additional duties as required
