Head of Technical Engineering Location : York Permanent Hours : : 37.5 hours per week Monday- Friday. Flexible start/finish times of 7am – 9 am and 3pm-5pm finish. Hybrid working is considered after probation for up to 2 days per week. Salary: £80,000 per annum + 10% bonus
Are you an experienced RF/Microwave Engineering Leader, we have an opportunity to take ownership of the technical direction for a highly specialized engineering function operating on a global stage. As Head of Technical Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the organisations RF and Microwave engineering strategy. As part of the site leadership team, you will define architecture, champion engineering governance and lead a talented multi-discipline engineering group.
Lead and develop the technical engineering team, providing hands-on guidance to RF/MW design engineers and nuture strong design culture Set technical vision, architecture and long term technology roadmap Manage engineering risks, budgets, schedules and technical reviews Maintain high-quality engineering processes, providing technical assurance and resolving design challenges Degree (or equivalent) with deep expertise in RF & Microwave Engineering Proven leadership experience in engineering management, system engineering and technical governance Strategic mindset with experience delivering engineering improvement initiatives Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent
