Purpose of the Role
To establish and nurture profitable partnerships with corporate clients, acting as a bridge between the bank’s offerings and clients’ needs to ensure mutual benefit and long-term success.
Accountabilities
Manage client relationships to identify financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance; support analysis of data from investment portfolios and cash flows to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
Research and understand client industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
Design customised solutions that address the client’s needs, incorporating a range of products and services from the bank’s portfolio.
Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions, justify recommendations, and negotiate mutually beneficial terms.
Provide guidance to clients on financial decisions, risk management, wealth management strategies, and market trends.
Assess financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships and implement measures to minimize potential losses.
Document all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency, auditability, and support product development.
Monitor client satisfaction, revenue, and other metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.
Execute market research and analyse to identify new opportunities, market trends, and customer needs that drive business growth.
Director Expectations
Manage a business function, contributing to industry-wide strategic initiatives and influencing policy and procedures.
Lead a large team or sub-function, guiding other people managers and cultivating a performance culture aligned to business values.
Coordinate budgeting, resourcing, and policy creation for a significant sub-function.

Relationship Director – Real Estate
Lead the UK Real Estate Corporate Banking team by managing a portfolio of the largest clients across the North of England and based in Leeds.
Target new-to-bank clients and lending opportunities while expanding relationships with existing clients.
Collaborate with real‑estate specialist bankers and cross‑functional teams (business development, real‑estate lending, credit risk, portfolio and product).
Act as an ambassador for the organisation, engaging real‑estate professionals, investors, advisers and brokers to generate new opportunities and business.
Support a portfolio of real‑estate clients, drive growth, maintain client satisfaction, and exercise control over the portfolio.
Develop colleagues through coaching, sharing industry insights, and ensuring high delivery standards.
