As a Junior QA Engineer in the Platform Delivery team, you will play a key role in testing the UI of the OneView platform, using a variety of testing techniques and methodologies. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the platform is functional, user friendly and stable as client usage and product capabilities continue to grow.

You’ll work closely with your QA engineering team, developers, DACs, and wider business teams to ensure the high standards and quality of the product(s) we build and deliver to clients. Alongside manual testing responsibilities, you’ll support the QA engineering lead in enhancing processes and driving forward quality as early on in the SDLC as possible; support project managers and DACs with requirements and acceptance criteria; and maintain test cases regularly to ensure high coverage is always met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the QA Engineering team in implementing structured QA processes and methods
  • Manual testing and validation of our user interfaces for client delivery projects, platform and techops teams to the specification and acceptance criteria
  • Ensure high quality standards are met within the software development lifecycle
  • Support project managers and DAC team members with scoping and requirements, including writing acceptance criteria
  • Feedback all bugs, defects and failures collaboratively
  • Create, maintain and execute manual test cases
  • Participate in SCRUM events, including daily stand ups, retrospectives and planning

What are we looking for?

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • 2yrs+ of experience as a manual QA Engineer for web based applications
  • 1yrs+ of experience with Azure DevOps
  • 1yrs+ of experience with SCRUM delivery methodology
  • Strong skills in writing manual test cases
  • Experience of multiple types of testing, including Exploratory, Regression, Smoke etc
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems
  • Ability to support PMs and DACs with requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a cross-functional team including developers, project managers and data scientists
  • Interest in learning automation testing techniques

Bonus points if you have:

  • ISTQB Certified
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of API
  • Knowledge of Public Sector

Location – This is a hybrid role based in our office in London (Borough). You would be expected to be able to work from the office at least 1-2 days per week. Some travel is also required for on-site client engagements as needed.
