Broster Buchanan are partnering with a leading legal business to recruit a Senior Manager Financial Reporting.
This is a key leadership role within the finance function, responsible for overseeing technical financial reporting, driving finance transformation initiatives, and partnering with senior stakeholders across the business. The position offers the opportunity to play a central role in strengthening reporting processes while supporting strategic decision making in a growing professional services environment.
The Role
As Senior Reporting Finance Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality financial reporting while developing and mentoring a reporting team. You will also act as a technical expert within finance and support initiatives aimed at improving systems, processes, and financial insight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading statutory and technical financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Managing month-end and year-end reporting processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Acting as the technical accounting lead within the finance function
- Driving finance transformation and continuous improvement across reporting processes and systems
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to provide clear financial insight and support decision making
- Managing, developing, and mentoring a reporting team
About you
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- A professional services or legal background desirable – not essential
- Strong background in technical financial reporting and statutory accounts
- Proven people management experience within a finance team
- Experience improving reporting processes, controls, or systems
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
- Professional services or legal sector experience would be beneficial but not essential
