Apprentice – Careers and Progression Adviser for Inclusion
36 hours – Fixed term role for 30 months
This Apprentice role offers an excellent starting point for anyone looking to build a career in careers guidance, combining hands‑on experience with a Level 6 Careers Development qualification through a 30-month fixed‑term apprenticeship. You will be joining the careers and progression team within student services at the college and benefit from structured training, ongoing support and mentorship from experienced careers professionals to help your practice and development.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one‑to‑one guidance sessions with a diverse student population.
- Facilitate group activities and deliver tailored career advice.
- Carry out administrative tasks to support the team.
- Provide high‑quality guidance to individuals with diverse support needs, including SEND, EHCPs, care experience, and children of armed forces personnel.
- Support students throughout the learner journey from pre‑enrolment to progression.
Qualifications & Expectations
We are looking for a motivated individual committed to completing the Level 6 apprenticeship. The ideal candidate should be organised, eager to learn, and dedicated to achieving the qualification. Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, the ability to build professional relationships, and confidence in using digital tools are essential.
