Machine Shop Support

Job Overview

We are looking for a Machine Shop Support team member to help maintain the efficient day-to-day operation of our machine shop. This hands-on role supports machinists and ensures equipment and the working environment are kept in good condition.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including changing oils and coolant on machines
• Support machinists by following direction and assisting with shop floor activities
• Maintain cleanliness of the workshop by cleaning, tidying, and organising work areas
• Use your own initiative to identify and complete tasks that support the smooth running of the department
• Help ensure machines and equipment are kept in safe working order
• Dispose of waste materials and fluids in line with company procedures
• Contribute to a safe, efficient, and well-maintained working environment

What Your Background Should Look Like

• Manufacturing experience preferred, but not essential
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced machinists
• Ability to use your own initiative and work independently when required
• Good attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Ability to work safely and follow processes
• Reliable team player with a positive, proactive attitude
