C&I Wire Person / Panel Builder – Contract Opportunity

Ceto Talent is representing a leading nuclear research project, supporting advanced control & instrumentation systems within a highly technical engineering environment.

Job Details

• Location: Culham, Oxfordshire (full-time onsite)
• Contract: 12 months
• Rate: Up to £26.00 per hour (Umbrella)
• IR35: Inside

This role will support a major nuclear research facility, working across a wide range of control & instrumentation systems. You will be involved in both workshop-based panel building and on-plant electrical engineering activities, including installation, testing and fault finding.

Key Responsibilities

• Wiring and building control & instrumentation panels, cubicles and sub-assemblies
• Fault finding and repair of control & instrumentation systems across plant
• Supporting commissioning, testing and upgrades of electrical engineering systems
• Working closely with engineers and plant teams on live control & instrumentation systems
• Producing and maintaining technical documentation and safe systems of work

Requirements

• Apprentice trained with industrial experience working on 3-phase electrical engineering systems
• Experience as a C&I wire person, panel builder or within control & instrumentation
• Strong fault-finding and testing capability (bench and in-situ)
• C&G Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology or ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
