Accounts Payable Assistant – Fast Growth Consumer – South Manchester (Hybrid)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
A fast-growing premium consumer brand within the beauty industry is looking to appoint an Accounts Payable Assistant to join its finance team. Operating across ecommerce, retail and professional channels, the business has built a strong international presence and is recognised for innovation, high-quality products and a strong digital and influencer-led brand identity.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous AP or finance administration experience looking to join a modern, entrepreneurial environment with genuine progression opportunities.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will support the day-to-day purchase ledger function and ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching, batching and coding invoices
- Managing supplier statement reconciliations
- Handling supplier queries and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing weekly payment runs
- Assisting with month-end close activities
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments
About You
- Previous experience within an Accounts Payable or finance administration role
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Good Excel and systems skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- A proactive and positive approach to work
- AAT studies or finance qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
