Overview

Our client, a leading international insurer, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their team. This role acts as a vital link between offshore processing teams, underwriters, clients, and brokers—resolving complex queries, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring smooth operational processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned accounts, ensuring timely premium collection and accurate cash allocation.
  • Escalate outstanding debt or cash issues promptly to ensure early resolution.
  • Review and reconcile broker statements, raising and resolving queries effectively.
  • Identify root causes of high query volumes and collaborate with stakeholders to reduce future issues.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and user guides.
  • Ensure accurate data capture to support meaningful MI reporting.
  • Analyse processes and data to highlight concerns and propose improvements.

Qualifications

  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and analytical skills.
  • Customer service experience with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing ability.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to interpret and analyse detailed financial reports.
  • Insurance or credit control experience within the Commercial or London Insurance market (advantageous).
  • Additional language skills are desirable but not essential.
