Junior Pattern Cutter / Tailor

Job Overview

Nylander couture is looking for a junior Pattern Cutter/Tailor. Hourly pay can be more, so rates can be negotiable, depending on experience. Also work could be done remotely or in house. Nylander Couture is a company that offers Tailoring, pattern cutting, sample making and bespoke services for men, women & childrenswear clients. Our growing team completes collections from initial sketch to production working with clients and factories in the UK and worldwide. We are currently working with a few exciting luxury menswear and womenswear clients that are at the early stages of building their labels. We are therefore looking for someone who is interested in joining us on this fun and challenging journey.

Responsibilities

• Working on making patterns and toiles and assisting with sealed samples and doing alterations.
• Working on garments that involve hand sewing and sample cutting various fabrics.

Qualifications & Experience

• Good understanding of written and spoken English.
• Great people skills, shrewd business sense and interest in dealing with initial briefs.
• Good Excel and Dropbox knowledge.
• Knowledge of Pattern cutting and Tailoring.
• Good knowledge of the English language.
• Knowledge of Dropbox and Microsoft Teams would be an advantage but not essential.
