Role Overview
A skilled role with real opportunity in a leading food business. We’re looking for skilled, hands‑on butchers to operate across key areas including main butchery, slaughter, primal cutting, and middle debone. The role is in a fast-paced, collaborative production setting where precision, consistency, and quality are paramount.
Compensation
- Butchery Roles (varied by skill level and department) – Current rates 2026: £13.61 – £15.62 per hour; From April 2026: £14.02 – £16.09 per hour
- Slaughter Roles (varied by skill level) – Current rates: £14.81 – £17.57 per hour; From April 2026: £15.25 – £18.09 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out expert butchery tasks to high hygiene, quality, and safety standards
- Work in production teams to meet daily output goal
- Support consistency through precision and attention to detail
- Maintain a safe and efficient working environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in butchery or slaughter (factory or processing setting preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
- A reliable, team-focused mindset
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet production needs
- Training available for the right candidates with core experience
