Manufacturing and Production Gillingham, Kent £28500 per annum Temporary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Die Cutter to join a busy production team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience operating die‑cutting machinery and take pride in producing high‑quality components on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor die‑cutting machinery safely and efficiently
• Change dies and tooling, adjust settings, and perform trial runs to ensure correct set‑up
• Inspect finished pieces for quality, accuracy and consistency; make adjustments as required
• Carry out routine machine maintenance, cleaning and basic troubleshooting
• Follow production schedules and meet daily output and quality targets
• Keep accurate production records and complete required paperwork
• Adhere to health & safety and quality control procedures at all times
• Work collaboratively with team members and report any issues to supervisors

Skills and experience required

• Proven experience operating die‑cutting machinery in a production environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor adjustments and maintenance
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to read job tickets, basic drawings and measurement tools
• Physically able to lift materials and stand for extended periods
• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude
• Willingness to work shifts and occasional overtime as required

Desirable

• Previous experience with specific die‑cutting equipment or processes
• Forklift licence or relevant safety certifications

This will be a full‑time shift working Monday to Friday in the afternoon shift of 2pm – 10pm. Please note there will be a short period of day shifts when initially starting the role.
