We are seeking a confident Maintenance Assistant with a passion for service excellence. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and work towards providing our guests with memorable experiences.
Responsibilities
- Implement all policies, standards, and procedures for Water Hygiene, Energy Conservation and Control, Fire Prevention, and other safety programmes, and effective preventive and routine maintenance inspections.
- Respond to job log system registered works and complete all jobs assigned within the targeted timescale.
- Monitor engineering stock levels and log shift activities on a regular basis, and communicate appropriately when needed.
- Report any hazards or defects to senior management.
- Process handover in line with company guidelines.
- Carry out general painting, tiling, and all reasonable duties as directed.
- Accurately record all necessary plant information in the appropriate logs and bring any defects to the attention of the Maintenance Manager.
- Deal with guest requests in a timely and efficient manner, communicating with other departments when necessary.
Qualifications
- Effective communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Good knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Good understanding of health and safety, including fire safety.
- Creativity and confidence to find solutions to challenges.
- Clear understanding of a property’s key plant equipment and functions.
