Burnside High School is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic teacher of science with the ability to teach environmental science and biology. This is a fixed-term, part-time position (14 hours per week) commencing 20 July 2026 and concluding 25 September 2026, covering a period of refreshment leave.
The successful applicant will contribute to engaging and innovative learning programmes across junior and senior classes, working collaboratively within a supportive faculty environment. You will support student engagement and achievement through inclusive, well-planned, and effective classroom practice.
We are seeking a reflective and student-focused teacher with strong curriculum knowledge, effective classroom management, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and whānau, are essential.
