The role

The Production Manager – Global Running Events will play a central role in planning and delivering a new series of running events, working closely with LME colleagues, market teams across several regions, and client stakeholders from a global partner.

You will help shape, plan and execute high quality, safe, and inspiring running experiences that reflect both LME’s values and the brand’s global vision. The role requires confidence working with clients, flexibility to support delivery across multiple time zones and countries, and experience in mass participation sports event production and brand activation operations.

You will support the end to end delivery of all operational elements, including route planning, venue layouts, licensing processes (working with local partners), logistics, branding, workforce planning, and production documentation. The role will also work closely with global and regional teams to ensure events meet strategic objectives, creative direction, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Operational Delivery

  • Lead and support the operational planning and delivery of a global series of running events across multiple international markets.
  • Produce high quality planning documentation including CAD/Iventis plans, production schedules, supplier briefs, risk assessments and safety documentation.
  • Work with local market partners to support route design, crowd management planning, permits, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage logistics requirements including equipment, vehicles, branding assets, and technical production.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a key operational contact for our global partner and local operational delivery agencies, ensuring high quality communication, project visibility and alignment to brand expectations.
  • Provide support and communicate clear operational guidance to regional delivery partners, suppliers, and in market agencies.
  • Collaborate with the brand’s event, marketing and activation teams to integrate consumer experiences, athlete elements and brand storytelling.

Brand Activation & Experience Delivery

  • Work closely with the brand activations team to ensure event concepts, athlete touchpoints, consumer journeys, and brand moments are operationally feasible and delivered to premium standards.
  • Support the delivery of brand-owned assets such as experiential zones, testing areas, product trial stations, hospitality, and influencer or ambassador programmes.
  • Ensure creative, commercial and experiential elements are integrated into safe and scalable operational plans.

Documentation, Safety & Compliance

  • Support licensing, SAG engagement (or international equivalents), and compliance with local event regulations in each market.
  • Collaborate with health and safety contractors to ensure all public, participant and workforce safety requirements are met.
  • Produce contingency plans, crowd management plans and debrief documentation.

International Delivery & Ways of Working

  • Adapt working hours and communication styles to support delivery teams in multiple global regions.
  • Travel internationally (where required) for site visits, builds, deliveries and event weekends.
  • Support continuous improvement and contribute to a scalable global event delivery model.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in event production or operations, ideally within mass participation.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Understanding of health and safety principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with project management tools and event planning software.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification (desirable).
  • Ability to Travel internationally (where required) for site visits, builds, deliveries and event weekends.
  • Experience with high quality planning documentation including CAD/Iventis plans
