Finance and Contracting Assistant (Student Placement)

We are currently looking for three Finance & Contracting Assistants (student placement) to take part in our 12-month fixed-term placement scheme starting September 2026, based in Greater Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Directorate in producing accurate information, analysing data and report writing.
• Gain experience in all areas of finance.
• Maintain excellent time‑management skills and work to tight deadlines.
• Develop a work‑experience plan with learning outcomes agreed at the start of the placement, with progress monitored regularly.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English.
• Experience of computer systems.
• Studying towards a finance/business studies/accounting qualification at a university based in Salford or Manchester.
• Have just completed their second undergraduate year at university.
