Opportunity: Legal Secretary – Private Client

Location: Leigh (Greater Manchester)

Monday – Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm

The Opportunity

Aspion are currently seeking an organised, proactive, and personable Legal Secretary to join a busy and well-established Private Client team based in Leigh.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and organisational skills who is looking to build a long-term career within a supportive legal environment.

You will be working closely with experienced fee‑earners, supporting across a wide range of Private Client matters including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Trusts, and Estate Administration.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a client-focused environment, where attention to detail and professionalism are key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support to Private Client fee‑earners
  • Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents, correspondence, and reports
  • Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
  • Handling telephone enquiries and communicating with clients in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Opening, closing, and maintaining client files in line with internal procedures and compliance requirements
  • Audio and copy typing, including preparation of letters, forms, and legal documentation
  • Liaising with external agencies, courts, and third parties where require
  • Supporting with general administration including filing, scanning, post management, and document organisation

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience within a Legal Secretary / Legal Admin role (Private Client experience highly desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A professional and empathetic approach when dealing with clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office systems
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to support the wider team
