We are seeking a dedicated Autism Tutor to join a leading, well-established training provider. You will be required to guide adult learners through their qualifications, Level 2 & 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism and Level 2 Understanding Behaviour that Challenges. You will equip them with the essential skills to work in roles such as Autism Support Worker, SEN Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant.
The position will require you to work 37.5 hours per week in a hybrid arrangement. You will be required to attend the Nottingham Centre a minimum of 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging autism awareness and behaviour support training
- Support learners through assessments, learning plans, and ongoing guidance
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records
- Promote safeguarding, equality, and inclusive practice
- Develop and improve training materials and curriculum quality
Essential Requirements
- Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring
- Strong knowledge of autism and behaviour that challenges
- Level 2 English, Maths, and ICT
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive education
Desirable Requirements
- Teaching qualification (AET, CET, DET or equivalent)
- Assessor qualification (A1 or equivalent)
- Experience delivering autism-related qualifications
- Knowledge of adult learning funding and quality standards
