We’re looking for an enthusiastic Hospitality & Catering Teacher to inspire the next generation of chefs, hospitality managers, and customer service professionals. Based in beautiful North Devon, you’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team delivering high-quality, engaging programmes that prepare learners for further study and employment in the vibrant hospitality sector.
What you’ll be doing
Your role will include:
- Designing and delivering engaging, up-to-date lessons in Hospitality & Catering, both in the classroom and online
- Creating inspiring schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with college standards
- Assessing learner progress, giving timely feedback, and maintaining accurate records
- Acting as an Academic Progress Tutor, supporting attendance, achievement, progression and wellbeing
- Embedding English, Maths, ICT, British Values and Employability into your teaching
- Supporting enrichment activities, learner visits, and progression opportunities
- Contributing to quality assurance, CPD, and continuous improvement across the department
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to hear from candidates who bring energy, professionalism, and a learner-first mindset. You’ll ideally have:
- A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area
- A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Experience of teaching or training in vocational or qualification-based programmes
- Strong skills in lesson planning, assessment, and using digital learning tools
- The ability to motivate, challenge and support learners of varying abilities
