Business Development Manager – FMCG / Retail
Location : Kensington Hybrid ( Onsite 3 days per week , wfh 2 days )
Salary £45k – £65k + Commission
Overview
We are hiring a Business Development Manager to focus exclusively on new business acquisition within the FMCG sector. This role will target well‑known consumer goods brands, selling a SaaS, data‑led solution that enables better commercial, marketing, and performance decisions.
This is a pure hunter role suited to someone with experience opening doors in FMCG and winning complex, high‑value deals.
Key Responsibilities
Drive net‑new business across the FMCG landscape
Prospect and engage consumer goods brands across food, beverage, and personal care
Sell a data and insight‑focused SaaS solution into commercial, category, and digital teams
Build and maintain a high‑quality sales pipeline
Lead discovery sessions to understand commercial challenges and data needs
Own the sales process from first contact through to close
Deliver against new business targets
Required Experience
Experience in a new business / hunter sales role (BDM or Account Executive)
Proven success selling SaaS, software, or data platforms
Experience selling into FMCG / CPG brands
Strong outbound sales and pipeline generation capability
Comfortable selling to senior stakeholders and decision‑makers
Desirable Experience
Experience selling analytics, BI, insight, or data‑led solutions
Understanding of FMCG commercial models, category management, or consumer insights
