We’re excited to recruit an Engagement & Referral Support Worker for our SmokeFree Croydon service. This fixed‑term role (12 hours per week) lasts until 31 March 2027.

Responsibilities
- Support community outreach sessions, engagement activities, and local awareness events across Croydon.
- Promote the benefits of stopping smoking and encourage referrals into SmokeFree Croydon services.
- Support Smoke Free Advisors during outreach clinics, campaigns, and partnership activities.
- Help service users access support through referral processing, appointment booking, and follow‑up engagement.
- Provide brief advice, health promotion messaging, and encouragement around healthier lifestyles.
- Support underserved communities, including individuals accessing mental health, substance misuse, and homelessness services.
Qualifications
- Passionate about supporting people and improving community wellbeing.
- Friendly, approachable, and able to engage with people in a respectful and non‑judgemental way.
- Interested in community engagement, behavioural support, and public health.
- A strong communicator with good interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.

Salary & Funding
CGL points 20 to 21 (£26,091.00 ‑ £26,502.53). Outer London Weighting (£2,195.72).
