Joinery CAD Draughtsman

Overview

Working within a small team of both internal and external Draughtspersons/Setter Outs, the appropriate candidate will be working closely with the Assistant Works Manager for interpreting technical drawings / 3D visuals from Architects, and then producing technical 2D/3D drawings through AutoCAD/Inventor, for customer approval. Once approved, all information is to then be booked out onto the shop floor to prepare for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings / 3D visuals from Architects with the Assistant Works Manager and translate them into manufacturing-ready drawings.




• Produce technical 2D/3D drawings through AutoCAD/Inventor for customer approval.




• Book approved information onto the shop floor to prepare for manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role




• Experience in designing to manufacture




• Experience with joinery and/or metalwork




• Knowledge of manufacturing processes




• Ability to read architectural drawings and convert to a working document




• Proficient in AutoCAD/Inventor
