Apprenticeship: Painter and Decorator

During this apprenticeship you will gain the knowledge and skills to become a qualified Painter and Decorator. You will complete practical training on various topics such as;

Prepartion of Surfaces

Health and Safety (Working at Height)

Application of Paint systems

Application of various wallpapers

Spraying Systems

Entry Requirements

A minimum of two GCSEs at Grade 3 or above in Maths and English.

Assessment

Candidates will complete a 24 month training period, followed by an End Point Assessment (EPA). This will consist of;

10 hour Practical skills assessment

Multiple Choice theory exam

45 minute interview/ professional discussion based on a Portfolio of Evidence
