Are you a Science teacher who wants to make a real difference in students’ lives?

Looking for a role where you can be part of something new and genuinely shape how a school develops from day one?

If so, this could be the perfect opportunity.

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Qualified Science Teacher to join a brand new, purpose-built specialist secondary school opening this September in Manchester.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to be part of something from the ground up – helping shape a fresh, supportive learning environment for young people aged 11–18 who need a bit of extra support to succeed.

If you’re someone who enjoys making a real impact and wants more than just a “standard teaching role,” you’ll feel right at home here.

About the Role

You’ll be delivering engaging and accessible Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly Key Stage 5). The focus is on sparking curiosity, building confidence, and helping students understand the world around them in a way that works for them. No two days will look exactly the same — so being flexible, creative, and able to adapt your teaching style is key. You’ll be working with students who benefit from a more personalized and supportive approach, so patience and a genuine passion for helping young people thrive is essential.

What’s On Offer

  • Salary in line with the Main/Upper Teaching Pay Scale
  • September start date
  • Easily accessible Manchester location with great transport links
  • The chance to shape the Science provision in a brand new school
  • A supportive, forward-thinking leadership team who value your input
  • Modern, purpose-built facilities designed with both staff and students in mind
  • A truly rewarding role where you can make a lasting impact
  • Ongoing professional development and growth opportunities

About You

  • GCSEs and A-Levels in Science (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable teaching style
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

Bonus points if you have

  • A specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
  • Experience in specialist or alternative provision settings
  • Knowledge of differentiated and personalized learning strategies
  • Understanding of trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches

Why This Role?
