Overview

British Engineering Services Group is a leading end‑to‑end risk management solutions provider in the UK and Ireland. This role is a 6‑month fixed‑term contract supporting the rail and highways teams with de‑vegetation and enabling work requirements.

Responsibilities

As an Enabling Works Assistant for XEIAD, you will support the rail and highways teams with de‑vegetation and enabling work requirements. You will also:

  • Undertake works such as:
    • Vegetation removal
    • Debris removal
    • Fence removal & reinstatement
    • Cladding removal & reinstatement
    • Chamber removal & reinstatement
    • Dewatering of culverts & CCTV examinations
  • Deliver works safely and in accordance with the contract specification and programme of works, ensuring the team follows company processes and procedures while adhering to health, safety, quality and environmental standards

You must also be flexible to travel across the Southern and Western Routes, work across sites away from home, and be prepared to work nights and weekends.

Requirements

  • Recent experience as an operative in a railway or site environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Full UK driving licence
