Retail Sales Assistant – Jollyes Pets – Sheffield Drakehouse

We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our team at the Sheffield Drakehouse store. The role involves helping pet parents find the right products, providing friendly customer service, upselling suitable items, keeping the store tidy and engaging with a fast‑paced retail environment.

What you will be doing

  • Offering genuinely friendly and helpful customer service.
  • Helping customers find what they need and suggesting helpful extras that improve their pet’s wellbeing.
  • Sharing advice to promote responsible pet ownership.
  • Keeping the store tidy, stocked and looking its best.
  • Being part of a supportive, upbeat team that works and laughs together.
  • Upselling suitable products to enhance the customer experience, not to pressure anyone.
  • Receiving induction and full training to build confidence, product and pet‑care knowledge through manager‑led on‑the‑job training and an online learning platform.

What we need from you

  • Great at interacting with pets and people, with a fun and friendly personality.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, hands‑on retail environment and can achieve individual goals and team targets.
  • Ideally, has experience in a similar customer‑facing environment and a hands‑on approach.
  • Can offer the highest levels of customer service and be an ambassador for the Jollyes brand, sharing our values of being Genuine, Wise, Focused, Eager and Together.
  • Flexibility in availability is required, as opening hours include evenings, weekends and we cover any shifts over our 7‑day trading hours.
  • Can commit to a part‑time, permanent position – 12‑20 hours per week.
