An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Learning Support Practitioner to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Watford, Hertfordshire from September 2026. Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored learning and emotional support for pupils in Year 1
- Deliver small group and 1:1 pastoral interventions using the Thrive approach
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with teachers and the wider support team to meet individual pupil needs
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience supporting children in Early Years or Key Stage 1
- A genuine passion for child development and emotional well‑being
- Knowledge of, or willingness to train in, the Thrive approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
