Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £14.18 an hour; this increases to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with contract options for fewer hours down to a minimum of 12 hours.
Availability windows are the periods we would like you to be available. We schedule your hours within these times and give 3 weeks’ notice of shifts. We support flexibility and welcome applications if your available times closely match the advertised windows.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the van and trays are clean and tidy.
- Maintain the back yard tidy and clear of rubbish; pick up litter when seen.
- Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
- Load the van and check its roadworthiness.
- Communicate with customers about order changes, substitutions, refunds, and provide clear explanations.
- Handle products strictly as if they were your own.
- Explain that customers are not charged for substitutions.
- Deliver within the customers’ time slot.
- Call the customer before arrival if early.
- Contact the store/centre if running 30+ minutes late.
- Build relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit.
- Be warm and welcoming in all interactions.
- Respond quickly to changing customer needs.
- Stay energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations.
- Share improvement ideas with managers.
Qualifications
- Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic) held for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.

Applicants must be over the age of 18. We only recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. The role may not require working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or involve working in certain areas such as warehouses, breweries, wine and spirits, counters, bakery, and driving.
