Learning Support Assistant – Berkhamsted

Are you a dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and challenging behaviour? We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a KS2 year group in Berkhampsted on a long-term contract.

Experience

• Proven ability to work effectively with children with a range of Special Educational Needs, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional and behavioural difficulties
• Confidence in managing and de‑escalating challenging behaviours in a calm and supportive manner
• Experience in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and supporting the differentiation of tasks to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to provide holistic support and ensure the overall well‑being of the students

• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide academic and personal support to students
• Patience, compassion, and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all children
• Ability to work collaboratively with the teaching team and external professionals
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the students
• Compliance with safeguarding guidelines and a willingness to undergo necessary checks
