A vibrant Gateshead primary school with over 350 pupils is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support children in Year 2.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Location: Gateshead
Contract: Part‑time until July, with opportunities to return full‑time in September. This is a temporary position; the option to make the role permanent may become available later.
Responsibilities
- Supporting phonics and reading groups
- Encouraging positive behaviour
- Helping pupils build confidence in lessons
- Working alongside an experienced teaching team

Qualifications and Requirements
All applicants must have the appropriate qualifications and training for this role, including a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and subscription to the DBS Update Service. Protocol Education will provide free online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all workers.
