Wire Harness Technician

Location: Northampton. Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.

Our client, a well-established and dynamic engineering and manufacturing company, is looking to expand and hire a Wire Harness Technician.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of projects across the motorsport and automotive sector, both on and off vehicles, directly contributing to the successful delivery of projects and supporting business growth.
• Manufacture motorsport and automotive electrical harnesses.
• Collaborate with the engineering team.
• Provide support for harness and electrical system design, development, and build.
• Build low and high voltage assemblies and enclosures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in automotive, motorsport or aerospace environments.
• Previous experience with wiring harness manufacture.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and harness manufacturing drawings.
• Experience with wire wrapping/twisting, moulded parts / System 25 and Service loops.
• Knowledge of connector systems, wire types, and sleeving.
• Ability to work to automotive and/or motorsport wiring standards.
• Experience working with high voltage cables and connectors (Desirable).
• Knowledge of end-of-line testing (e.g., Cirris) (Desirable).
