Bury, Greater Manchester£40,000 – £43,000 per annum40 hours per week

Are you an experienced Home Manager looking for an opportunity to lead a small, specialist service where you can make a genuine difference to people’s lives?

We are recruiting for a Home Manager to oversee a well-established small residential service in Bury, providing 24-hour care and support to working age adults with mental health needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed care professional who is dedicated to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred support while leading and developing a motivated staff team.

About the Role

As Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and operational performance are maintained. You will lead by example, creating a positive and supportive environment for both residents and staff, whilst promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for those in your care.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the home
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation
  • Leading, motivating, and developing the staff team
  • Managing staffing levels, rotas, and recruitment
  • Maintaining high standards of care and support delivery
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
  • Managing budgets and ensuring the service operates efficiently
  • Participating in the on-call rota on alternate weekends

About You

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Home Manager within a residential care setting
  • Ideally have experience supporting adults with mental health needs
  • A strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or a willingness to work towards achieving the qualification
  • A passion for delivering outstanding person‑centred care
