Position Summary
As a Surfacing Operative, you will work in the South West area, ideally located in the Ayrshire area. Working outdoors, you will need to be flexible, punctual and detail-oriented. You’ll support the surfacing squads, follow the Foreperson’s instructions, and help team members improve.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute tasks as directed by the Foreperson, ensuring adherence to instructions.
- Maintain, operate, and ensure the safety of all plant and equipment.
- Keep PPE in excellent condition.
- Mentor and support less experienced operatives.
- Maintain professional working practices and comply with company and safety procedures.
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and concerns.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- CSCS card and driving licence essential.
- Previous experience preferred.
- Keen interest in the construction materials industry and heavy mobile plant machinery operations.
- Desire to learn and grow, focusing on safety and quality.
