Make a real difference behind the scenes. Join Thames Water as a Resource Coordinator and play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You’ll be right at the heart of planning and scheduling, making sure the right work gets to the right people at the right time. It’s a fast‑paced role where your organisation and communication skills will really make an impact on both our teams and our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Create and dispatch maintenance tasks, prioritising work and ensuring completion on time.
  • Coordinate reactive work and emergency requests, meeting SLA targets efficiently.
  • Manage and schedule third‑party appointments, collaborating with contractors and internal teams.
  • Serve as the key point of contact between field teams, planners, and stakeholders, maintaining clear communication.
  • Monitor progress, follow up on incomplete work, and expedite escalated issues.
  • Support the wider team by reducing backlogs and keeping schedules accurate and up to date.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment where priorities change quickly.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Confident written and verbal communication with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office; ability to learn SAP, Click, and Salesforce.
  • A proactive approach with ownership and accountability for work.
  • Analytical ability to identify potential issues before they become problems.

Location & Working Hours

Base location: Kemble Court, Reading. 28.8 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible), with shifts between 07:00–15:00.
